Walton Folk Festival 2020

WALTON FOLK FESTIVAL returns for a third year with another astonishing lineup showcasing the very best of folk, roots and acoustic music. headlining is Wildwood Kin – a folk trio from Devon. The voices of three young women harmonise effortlessly with shades of Simon & Garfunkel, Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac and the churchy cadences of the first Fleet Foxes album.

“Cambridge Festival show stealers... the real deal” Mark Radcliffe
“One of the most beautiful sessions ever, stunning” Bob Harris
“They just blew me away..." James Santer - BBC Introducing

Joining them in the evening lineup are Riverhouse favourites Jacob and Drinkwater. Also Devon-based, the duo are singer-songwriter Tobias Ben Jacob and Lukas Drinkwater. They performed a stunning sold-out show in 2019 and we just had to have them back for the festival.

“One of our best artists" BBC Devon Introducing
"Intense and spellbinding" Folk Radio UK
"Stand out new folk... superb.. excellent" Chris Hawkins. BBC Radio 6

The afternoon lineup features 3-time BBC2 Folk Award nominees contemporary folk/acoustic duo Gilmore & Roberts.

Joining them are Road Not Taken – a Bristol-based four piece starting to make waves on the UK folk scene, playing their unique brand of melancholy songs and tunes.

Brought together by the progressive Glasgow folk music community, Jenn & Laura-Beth are two voices, mandolin and guitar that all blend together magnificently.

Continuing the commitment to showcase exciting young talent, the lineup is completed by Odette Michell, a British folk singer-songwriter, guitarist and bouzouki player with a bold new take on the acoustic tradition.

Other amazing acts to be confirmed nearer the date. Keep up to date on Facebook – Walton Folk - for news of a very special concert!
